DISCOVERING THE SACRAMENTS

THE SACRAMENTS

are sacred signs instituted by Christ. Each sacrament is an outward sign of God’s grace conveyed through the ministry of the Church, working within us to renew our hearts, minds, and souls. These rituals are more than symbols—they are tangible ways to grow closer to God and experience his love in our lives.

In the Catholic Church, we celebrate seven sacraments:

  • Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist

  • Sacraments of Healing: Reconciliation (Confession) and Anointing of the Sick

  • Sacraments at the Service of Communion: Marriage and Holy Orders
