ABOUT US
Welcome to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. As the mother church of the Diocese of Saint John, the Cathedral is the most visible symbol of our diocese and the seat of the Roman Catholic Bishop for almost 170 years. This is the church where all the diocesan faithful are at home, experience spiritual renewal and growth in the Christian life and where solemn liturgical celebrations mark our lives as a diocesan family.
The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception is one of Canada’s Historic Places.

MISSION
Led by the Holy Spirit, we are called to raise up disciples who proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of others.
VISION
Led by the Holy Spirit, all the faithful (clergy, consecrated and lay) have a deep and personal relationship with Jesus and his Church; all parishes are welcoming, invitational and vibrant communities where people are evangelized, discipled, and missioned to go and make disciples of others (Matthew 28:19-20).
