BELONGING
At the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception we believe that belonging comes first. When Jesus met people in the bible, he entered into relationship with them.
“Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” So, he came down at once and welcomed him gladly.” Luke 19:5-6
We hope that each person who walks through the doors will encounter that same love of Christ in and through our Cathedral community. Like Jesus, we want to meet people wherever they are in their walk of faith and accompany them deeper into relationship with Jesus as his disciples.

Alpha
Alpha offers an open invitation to explore life’s big questions in a relaxed and enjoyable way. It’s a weekly gathering for anyone curious about life, faith, and spirituality—no strings attached. Each session includes three parts to make the experience engaging and welcoming:
Food – We begin with a meal, whether it’s a hearty meal or simple snack. It’s a chance to unwind, meet new people, and build genuine connections in a friendly setting.
Talks – Short, thought-provoking videos explore life’s big questions and the basics of the Christian faith, covering topics like “Who is Jesus?” and “How can we pray?”. They spark curiosity and inspire honest conversations.
Sharing – In small groups, you’re free to share your thoughts, ask questions, or simply listen. No judgment, just open dialogue where everyone’s perspective is valued.
Alpha is a great place to ask deeper questions with no expectations, no preaching—just good conversations and fun. Curious? Join us!
Beta
After completing Alpha, many participants want to stay connected and continue growing in faith. Beta is the next step—a follow-up to Alpha that deepens our understanding of the Catholic faith and discipleship. Beta follows the same structure as Alpha:
Food – A time of fellowship where we share a meal or refreshments, reconnect, and build deeper friendships.
Talks – Engaging content that explores the richness of our faith.
Sharing – Small group discussions where we reflect on what we’ve learned, ask honest questions, and encourage one another on our faith journey.
Beta provides a space to go deeper, exploring Scripture, Church teaching, Catholic spirituality, and prayer. Whether you're looking for encouragement, friendship, or a deeper relationship with Christ, you’ll find a welcoming community here.
Small Faith Community
One of the beautiful benefits of Alpha and Beta is the development of a sense of belonging to a small group of like-minded and like-missioned persons of faith. The Discipleship Pathway will always encourage us to develop relationships and spiritual friendship for long-term accompaniment in life, faith, discernment and ongoing faith formation.
