GIVING
At the Cathedral, we believe that giving is not just about offering money; it’s about opening our hearts to God's blessings and sharing those blessings with others. Tithing, or giving a portion of our income, is an opportunity to return to God what he has already entrusted to us. It’s a way to free our hearts from attachment to wealth and place our trust in God's provision, knowing that everything we have is a gift from him.
Tithing is a gift from God—his invitation for us to participate in his work of love and service in the world. By giving, we help support the ministry of the Church, care for those in need, and invest in the growth of our faith community.
There are several ways to contribute to the life of our Cathedral and its mission:
Weekly Offering: A regular, ongoing contribution to support the parish’s day-to-day operations and ministries.
Tithing: Giving a portion of your income to the Church, as an intentional act of faith and gratitude.
Donations: One-time gifts, multi-year pledges, donation of securities, life insurance or special donations for specific projects, programs, or needs within the Cathedral or the community.
Bequests: Leaving a lasting legacy by including the parish in your will, ensuring the continuation of God’s work for future generations.
Donations can be made either by cheque, credit card, email money transfer or automatic withdrawal. Your generosity, no matter the size, has the power to transform lives. It’s not about the amount, but the heart behind the gift. When we give, we’re not only supporting the Church; we’re participating in God's mission to bring hope, healing, and peace to the world.
Your gift is a tremendous blessing and will aid significantly in the success of these restoration efforts. If you have any questions, or if you know of any people or organizations/businesses that could potentially make a significant gift to the Cathedral restoration, please email: reception@dioceseofsaintjohn.org or call 506-653-6800.
